We are aware that in the near future when looking back at the history of Turkish design, the year 2000 will be recognized as the initial year that Turkish design took on universal values. From that point on to today, we see that many Turkish designs produced are being acknowledged worldwide. They are presenting alternatives to West which has reached a terminal point in its design development. In the near future we will see that because of its young and vibrant generation of designers nurtured by the character of its geography and its cultural values, Turkey in the coming years will offer to global design an important set of new and innovative ideas.
